How to get the Blue Potato in Disney Dreamlight Valley

Unless you have been living under one of the many rocks sprinkled around the valley, you have probably heard of the great Disney Dreamlight Valley potato mystery. It started with the Golden Potato which led to the discovery of many more potatoes around the valley. The Pride of the Vlaley update added a Blue Potato to the mix. Once obtained, you will need to collect various ingredients to turn it into a potion. Here is how you can get the Blue Potato in Disney Dreamlight Valley.

Where to find the Blue Potato

The great potato mystery in Disney Dreamlight Valley started with the Golden Potato that was received by a code found in a Halloween image for the game. With the Golden Potato being a mystery, many left it alone until the Festival of Friendship update. During this time, players started finding the Red Potato and learned there is an entire quest line devoted to the Golden Potato. This quest line now continues with the Blue Potato.

Luckily, the Blue Potato is very easy to find. Like the Red Potato, you can get it by simply walking into a resident’s home and searching the area. The resident in question is Ursula. Instead of running into the jungle to find Simba and Nala, make your way to Ursula’s home. Once inside, you can easily spot the Blue Potato next to the throne by the water.

How to make the Blue Potato Potion

Once you have the Blue Potato, you can get to work on crafting a potion with it. First, you need to gather a few ingredients. These ingredients are:

Blue Shell

Blue Starfish

Blue Book

Blue Gem

Blue Shell location

The Blue Shell is the first ingredient of the potion and is found by going to Moana’s Realm. Once there, go to the edge of the beach on the right side. Run into the water and you will find a bunch of invisible boundaries. Make your way around the rocks to the far side of the island off the coast of the main island. You will see the Blue Shell come into view once you get behind the island.

Blue Starfish location

For the Blue Starfish, you need to head to the smaller realm where you found Ariel earlier in the game. Use the boat off Skull Rock to get back there. Once there, walk into the water off the tip of the beach. Similar to the Blue Shell, the water walking portion will be a bit of a maze but follow the path to the other side of the small rocks. You will find the Blue Starfish laying on the ground.

Blue Book location

The next ingredient is the Blue Book. For this item, you need to make your way to the mysterious cave on Dazzle Back. Go inside and go all the way to the bottom. You will be able to see the Blue Book from the edge of the water. Run through the water again, following the invisible walls to reach the Blue Book.

Blue Gem location

The final ingredient is the Blue Gem. To obtain it, head to the mines in the Sunlit Plateau. Once there, you need to find the area where the mine track is broken. To get there, go to the left once you enter the mines. Afterward, go to the right and follow the mines to the room where the minecart tracks converge. From there, continue deeper into the mines and take the first right. When you reach this area, walk across the Night Thorn to reach the Blue Gem.

Crafting the potion

Once you have all of the items, go to the mines and locate the pool of water beneath the blue crystals. That’s right, you won’t be going to a crafting station. The water is near where you picked up the Blue Gem. Place all of the blue items into the water. After placing all the items in the water, it will give you a Brilliant Blue Potion to add to your collection.

Apple And Disney Upgrading In

Here’s another piece of evidence to help complete the Apple mobile payments puzzle: according to a new report by 9to5Mac, Apple and Disney stores in the United States have been upgrading in-store iBeacon transmitters and NFC sensors ahead of the company’s big reveal on Tuesday.

The upgraded sensors, which include the new Gimbal Series 20 Proximity Beacons, will allow the companies to track customers inside their stores with an even greater degree of precision.

As it’s been widely reported, both the iPhone 6 and iWatch are rumored to be outfitted with a Near-Field Communication (NFC) chip to support mobile payments. It’s “one of the hallmark features” of the iPhone 6, according to Wired. The Apple wearable device has “a role in mobile payments,” too, as per The Wall Street Journal.

According to sources, all Disney Stores are getting brand new NFC-enabled credit card hardware. Disney is a close Apple partner: its CEO Bob Iger sits on the Apple board and the Mickey Mouse house was the first major content owner to have agreed to selling movies digitally through iTunes.

The author of the 9to5 report, Mark Gurman, speculates that Apple Stores could tap the upgraded iBeacons for NFC mobile payment technologies as a form of authentication.

“If Apple knows where a customer is in the store to a precise degree, it can ensure that is it wirelessly connecting to the correct iPhone for mobile payments,” he wrote, adding Tim Cook & Co. are readying “an in-house designed and developed” iBeacon sensor for future installation in its own stores.

Conveniently enough, Apple in early-May starting ditching the fourth-generation iPod touch for the iPhone 5s for its in-store EasyPay devices. The accessory now features improved navigation, 2D bar code scanning, an integrated keypad to allow input of pin numbers for debit payment processing and more.

The fact that EasyPay is now iPhone 5s-based lends credence to speculation that Touch ID may be used as an authentication method for Apple’s mobile payment system.

The aforementioned Gimbal Series 20 Proximity Beacons are designed and manufactured by chip maker Qualcomm. That being said, it’s plausible that Apple’s own iBeacons — allegedly branded as ‘Apple iBeacon’ — include proprietary features to support its payment platform in a secure manner.

Apple-designed iBeacon was revealed in July FCC filing.

Apple-designed iBeacon was revealed in July FCC filing.

The Apple iBeacon looks like a white puck three quarters of inch thick and four inches across in size. The FCC filing (embedded as a Scribd document below) shows a re-chargeable internal battery, a Micro-USB port and a dedicated ON/OFF switch at the bottom. The accessory appears to work on a 2.4GHz wireless frequency.

Apple’s long-rumored mobile payment initiative is believed to be shaping up nicely as major credit card companies have reportedly backed the initiative, including MasterCard, AmEx and Visa (no word on Discover yet), as well as leading banks like JP Morgan Chase, Citigroup, Capital One and Bank of America.

A user’s credit cards and payment information is though to be stored inside a secure enclave on an NXP-made NFC chip. An upgraded Passbook application should play a role in mobile payments as well, but the specifics are vague at this point.

At any rate, the iPhone 6 and the iWatch as an accessory device could form the perfect two-factor authentication solution for mobile payments. Imagine, if you will, paying for groceries with a simple tap or just by using a voice command without even taking the phone out of your pocket or entering a password.

Our non-scientific poll found that more than three out of each four respondents would happily pay for goods with their iPhone 6.

Note we ran the poll just as the iCloud nude pics scandal was about to blow up and get invariably linked to rumors about a “secure” Apple mobile payment system.

How To Get Saddle In Minecraft

Minecraft Saddle: Everything You Need to Know (2023)

We are covering the mechanics, spawning, and usage of saddles in Minecraft within different sections. Use the table below to explore the aspect that you want to learn about.

What is a Saddle in Minecraft

The saddle is a utility item in Minecraft that you need to ride, and in some cases, control rideable mobs in the game. It looks similar to leather in terms of design and texture but, unlike leather, you can’t color or add armor trims in Minecraft to the saddle.

Which Mobs Can You Ride Using a Saddle

You can use the saddle to ride the following mobs in Minecraft:

Pigs

Striders

Camels

Horses

Skeleton Horses

Donkeys

Mules

How to Find Saddle in Minecraft

Unfortunately, the saddle is a treasured item in Minecraft, and it can’t be crafted on the crafting table. So, the only way to obtain it is by exploring the world and using the in-game looting methods. Here are the various methods to get a saddle:

Chests

You can find a saddle in various chests in all dimensions of Minecraft. They often spawn in the following locations:

Dungeon

Ancient City

Bastion Remnant (Hoglin Stable)

Desert Temple

End City

Jungle Temple

Nether Fortress

Stronghold (Altar)

Village (Weaponsmith, Savanna, and Tanner houses)

As per the Minecraft Wiki, the chests in Nether Fortress have the highest spawn rate of chests with saddles. So, you might have to make a Nether portal in Minecraft while trying to get a saddle.

Fishing

Much like other treasure items, you can catch saddles while fishing in the overworld waterbodies of Minecraft. But keep in mind that, it has a spawn rate of less than 1%. So, you might need to fish for a long time before getting your hands on the saddle.

Mob Loot

Another reliable method to find saddles is killing Striders and Ravagers. Out of these, ravagers always spawn with a saddle, but you have to trigger a raid in Minecraft to make them spawn. Meanwhile, striders only spawn with a saddle if a zombified Piglin is riding them.

Unfortunately, neither of these mobs have fixed spawn circumstances so you can’t create a farm to collect saddles via these mobs. However, if you are playing on the Minecraft survival servers, you can kill other players’ saddled mobs to obtain their saddles.

Trading

Being leather-like items, saddles are available as a tradable item with Master-level leatherworker villagers. They sell saddles for 6 emeralds. This trade always shows up on the Java edition, but Bedrock users will only see it around half of the time. Not to forget, you can quickly set up a villager trading hall to get not only saddles but also emeralds with easy trades.

How to Use a Saddle

Now that you have finally found a saddle, it’s time to use it. There are two main ways to equip a saddle onto a mob, let’s explore the steps involved in each of them.

Saddle Slot

2. Then, open your Minecraft inventory with the E key or your dedicated inventory key. You will also see the inventory of that mob. Now, place the saddle in the saddle slot of the mob.

3. Once the saddle is in place, you can use your movement keys to make the mob move around. Moreover, if you want to get the saddle back, you can remove it from the inventory slot.

Direct Placement

One of the simplest ways to equip a saddle in Minecraft is by placing it on the mob. This method works for all rideable mobs in-game. But, mobs like horses have to be tamed first before they can be ridden. With that said, here’s how to directly place a saddle on a mob:

Dispensers

While this method is not the ideal one, you can also use a dispenser in Minecraft to put a saddle on your mobs. Here’s how it works:

1. First, place a dispenser one block above the ground and put a saddle in it.

2. Then, get your mob right in front of the dispenser’s face.

How To Get To Bios In Windows 11

Windows lets users customize how they interact with their PC in a number of ways. But there are some features that can only be accessed from special screens like BIOS.

The BIOS is an important program that hosts a number of core customizations, such as enabling secure boot or changing boot options, and can be accessed in a number of ways. But what is it exactly, how is it different from UEFI, and how can you access it on Windows 11?

In this guide, we explain what the BIOS is, how to access it on different OEM systems, and address a few queries concerning the BIOS.

What is the BIOS?

The Basic Input/Output System, or BIOS, is a program that lives in a small chip on your computer’s motherboard. As the name suggests, it is a system that manages data flow between the operating system (Windows) and the connected hardware, such as the drives, display, mouse, etc, and readies it for bootup. It also hosts a few settings and customization options that cannot be accessed from any other screen.

The exact layout of the BIOS can differ based on your OEM and motherboard manufacturer. However, the options provided in all BIOS interfaces are more or less the same.

2 ways to get to BIOS in Windows 11

There are a few ways to access the BIOS. Let’s take a look at them one by one.

Method 1: Pressing BIOS key at Startup

One of the primary ways to access the BIOS is by pressing a designated key, such as the F2, F10, F12, or Del, at startup. Here’s how to go about it:

Turn on your computer. At the first signs of your computer starting, repeatedly press the BIOS key. There is only a small window of opportunity in which your keystroke needs to be registered and the BIOS to run. If you see the Windows logo, you have missed your window. Turn off your system and try again.

This is the tried and true formula that has become the default way to access the BIOS. As mentioned before, the key may vary based on your OEM or motherboard manufacturer.

Here is a list of a few popular OEMs and their designated BIOS hotkeys:

HP: F10

Dell: F2 or F12

Gigabyte, MSI, Zotac: Del

Asus: Del, F10 or F9

Acer: Del or F2

Lenovo: F2, Fn + F2, F1, or Enter followed by F1

Surface Pro: Press and hold Volume Up

If this is your first time accessing the BIOS, it may take a couple of tries before you get it right and are able to access the BIOS screen.

Method 2: From the Windows Recovery Environment (WinRE)

You can also get to the BIOS screen from Windows itself. For this, you will need to get to the Windows Recovery Environment (WinRE) first. Here are a few ways to do so.

Step 1: Access WinRE (using any of the 4 ways)

Here are the 4 ways to access Windows Recovery Environment (WinRE). Once you reach that, you can follow Step 2 below to get to BIOS from WinRE.

Option 1: Access WinRE from Settings

This will restart your PC and boot to the recovery environment.

Once you are in Windows Recovery Environment (WinRE), follow Step 2 below to get to BIOS.

Option 2: Access WinRE from Power button (in Start Menu and Log on screen)

The restart button can be used as a shortcut to accessing WinRE to get to the BIOS. Here’s how:

Once you are in Windows Recovery Environment (WinRE), follow Step 2 below to get to BIOS.

Option 3: Access WinRE from Command Prompt (CMD)

Note: You can also use PowerShell if that is to your liking as the command is the same for both command terminals.

Type the following command:

shutdown /r /o

Hit Enter.

Once the system restarts, you’ll be on the WinRE screen. Follow the steps given above to get to the BIOS.

Once you are in Windows Recovery Environment (WinRE), follow Step 2 below to get to BIOS.

Option 4: Access WinRE with a shortcut

In the create shortcut wizard, enter the following command in the field:

shutdown /r /o

Then proceed with the same steps as before to get to the BIOS.

Once you are in Windows Recovery Environment (WinRE), follow Step 2 below to get to BIOS.

Option 5: Access WinRE from RUN

shutdown /r /o

And hit Enter.

Once you are in Windows Recovery Environment (WinRE), follow Step 2 below to get to BIOS.

Step 2: Get to BIOS from Windows Recovery Environment (WinRE)

Then Advanced options.

Now select UEFI Firmware Settings.

Your PC will boot to the BIOS screen.

How to reset your BIOS

Changes in the BIOS should be made with utmost caution and proper knowledge of what it is that you’re doing. If you’ve made some changes that you want to undo, resetting the BIOS is a quick and easy way out. To know about why and how you should reset BIOS, read our guide on How to reset BIOS in Windows 11.

Here are a couple of ways to reset your BIOS in brief.

1. With the Power Button

Most modern systems have an in-built safety feature that lets you reset the BOIS if things go awry. To make use of this, simply press and hold down the Power button for more than ten seconds. For laptop users, keep holding the power button until the battery charging light goes out. This is indicative of the BIOS being reset.

For desktop users, you may have to rely on your motherboard’s display, if available. Furthermore, you can also check your OEM’s website to learn about how to reset your BIOS.

2. From the BIOS itself

A BIOS reset can be done from within the BIOS itself, if you manage to get in without any problems. In the BIOS, look for ‘Load Setup Defaults’ and then execute it by pressing Enter.

Depending on your OEM, it may be titled ‘Reset to Default’, or ‘Setup Defaults’, or something similar.

UEFI vs BIOS: How are they different?

The UEFI and the BIOS are sometimes used interchangeably, and not without good reason. Although they both are interfaces that allow the operating system and the hardware to interact with each other, they are different in other, more functional ways.

The Unified Extensible Firmware Interface (UEFI) can be seen as a step up from the legacy Basic In/Out System (BIOS). The UEFI is a modern version of BIOS that has more memory, more features, and a variety of customizable options.

UEFI also uses the GPT (GUID Partition Table) disk format whereas the BIOS uses the legacy MBR (Master Boot Record) format. The former is a much better system that frequently checks the disks for corruption, and is expected to replace BIOS completely in a few years.

How to check the BIOS version

If you want to check your BIOS version, here’s how to do so:

Press Start, type CMD, and hit Enter.

Now type the following command:

wmic bios get smbiosbiosversion

Hit Enter. You will now see your BIOS version.

Another way to check the BIOS version is to open the System Information tool. Here’s how:

Press Start, type msinfo32, and hit Enter.

Once the System Information tool opens, find the BIOS Version/Date.

How to enable virtualization in BIOS

Virtualization allows users to install multiple guest operating systems on their PC. If you’re going to use tools like VirtualBox, develop and test apps on different operating systems, or install old games, virtualization is something you cannot do without. Windows 11 uses the Hyper-V feature for this which can be enabled in the BIOS itself. Here’s how to do so:

Access the BIOS by the methods given above. Then use the arrow keys to get to ‘Configuration’.

Note: The virtualization option may be found within a different tab, depending on your manufacturer. It could be under ‘Security’, ‘Advanced’, ‘Device/System Configuration’, or some such section.

Then select Virtualization Technology.

Enable it.

Once done, hop over to the ‘Exit’ tab and select Save changes and Exit.

To know more about finding and enabling virtualization technology, refer to our guide on How to enable virtualization in BIOS on Windows 11 or 10.

What is Secure Boot?

Secure Boot is a UEFI protocol that secures the Windows boot process by ensuring that only the signed drivers are loaded when the system boots up. Starting with Windows 11, Microsoft has made it a prerequisite for systems installing Windows 11, even though there are a number of workarounds for that.

Nevertheless, if you want your PC to have maximum security, it is best to have it enabled.

How to enable Secure Boot from BIOS

Access the BIOS by using the methods given in this guide. Then, use the arrow keys to get to the Boot options tab (or the section that has a similar title).

Then select Secure Boot by pressing Enter on it.

Make sure it is Enabled, then hit Enter.

Now go to the “Exit” tab and choose Save changes and Exit.

FIX: Can’t access BIOS or Advanced Startup on Windows 11

If you’re not able to access the BIOS or even the Advanced Startup screen on Windows 11, you may have to change a setting in the “System Configuration” app. Here’s how:

Press Start, type msconfig, and hit Enter.

You should now be able to access the BIOS from the startup screen or the recovery environment.

FAQs

In this section, we look to answer a few commonly asked queries concerning the BIOS:

Can I access BIOS without restarting?

The BIOS can only be accessed before your operating system boots up. So, even if you’re not using the WinRE environment to restart your system and get to the BIOS, you will still have to use the designated key during startup, for which, a restart is inevitable.

Can you unlock an Advanced Menu Hidden in BIOS?

Yes, you can update your BIOS. To do so, you will have to know your BIOS version, visit your manufacturer’s website, and download the latest update for your BIOS version. To update, refer to the manufacturer’s guide on the same.

The BIOS (or UEFI) is a highly crucial interface that covers important groundwork for Windows to boot before giving up control to it. Accessing it can be done in a number of ways, and we hope you now know how to do so, regardless of your PC’s manufacturer.

How To Get The Smallest Of Zero Or More Numbers In Javascript?

In this tutorial, we shall learn to find the smallest among numbers in JavaScript.

Let’s discuss the available methods one after the other

Using the Math.min() Method

Here, the Math.min() is a static function of the placeholder object Math. If no parameters, the result is -Infinity. If the parameters are numbers, the result is the smallest among them. If any one of the parameters is not a number, the method returns NaN. This is an ECMAScript1 feature.

Syntax

Following is the syntax of Math.min() method −

Math.min(a1, a2,…an)

Here, we need to give numbers as parameters.

Parameters

a1, a2,…an − the numbers.

Example

Here, Math.min() directly finds the smallest value.

var

m1

=

Math

.

min

(

Using Array.min() and Math.min().apply()

Here, an array of numbers is the input. The Math.min() applies this array and gives us the smallest number.

Syntax

Following is the syntax to use Array.min() method and Array.min.apply() −

Array.min = function(array) { return Math.min.apply(Math, array); }; var minimum = Array.min(arr);

Here, an array of numbers has to be given as the input.

Parameters

arr − The array.

Example

Here, Array.min() takes the input array and Math.min() applies it and returns the output.

Array

.

min

=

function

(

Using the Destructuring Assignment Syntax/Spread Operator

Using the spread operator … we can extract values from an array or object into different variables. We can use this method because the Math.min() method does not support a direct array as an input.

Syntax

Users can follow the syntax below.

Math.min(...[p, q, r]);

Here, the spread operator helps the Math.min() method to return the smallest value.

Parameters

p, q, r − The array of numbers

Example

Here, Math.min() with the spread operator directly evaluates our input and displays the output.

var

res

=

Math

.

Using the for Loop

As we know, here we consider the first number in an array as the smallest. Then we compare the remaining numbers in the array with this. Finally, we get the smallest value.

Syntax

Users can follow the syntax below.

for (var i = 0; i<arr.length; i++) { if (arr[i] < arr[0]) { } }

Here, the for loop evaluates the array of numbers and compares all with the first number and returns the smallest.

Parameters

arr − The array

i − The array index

Example

Here, the general array elements compare logic in the loop, and the output is displayed.

const

numbers

=

[

Using the Array.reduce() Method

Here, we give the input to a call-back function. This function iterates through the input and gives the smallest value.

Syntax

Here, two values are compared every time of an array iteration and the smallest value is returned at the end.

Parameters

r1, r2 − r1 is the accumulator, and r2 is the current value respectively. During array iteration, if the current value becomes smaller than the accumulator, the current value becomes the next accumulator.

Example

Here, our input is processed by reduce(), and Math.min() returns the result.

const

nums

Using the Array.sort() Method

In the Array sort method, we get the minimum value at the start of the array.

Syntax arr.sort()[0]

Here, arr is the array of numbers.

Example

Here, the JavaScript sort is done on the input array and the first value is returned.

const

srtArr

This tutorial helped us to learn about the six methods to find the smallest of all numbers given.

The Math.min() method does not accept an array of elements. The reduce array method, loop method, and array apply method is more logical.

Among all the methods that we learned, the spread operator method and default array sort method is simple to use and work well.

How To Get Instagram Lite In Any Country.

If you are using an older model Android device that’s not running Instagram as well as it used to, this article will show you how to get Instagram Lite. Instagram Lite is a brand new version of Instagram that has been stripped down to run better on low end and older devices, it also uses way less space than the standard app, yet still maintains most of the usability of the original app.

How to Add Windows Group Policy Support to Firefox.

Instagram is one of the most popular social media platforms on the Internet allowing users to view and share a variety of different content to their followers and the world. Unfortunately as the service continues to grow and gain features so too does its system resource requirements, mainly storage space.

Although it has taken a considerable amount of time to be developed and released, Instagram Lite follows the same basic concept as all the other Lite apps on the market. Apps like Facebook Lite, Messenger Lite, YouTube Go, and of course Twitter Lite. All these Lite versions contain most of the same basic functions as their parent apps, with a fraction of the storage and resource requirements. For example, the standard version of Instagram uses 432mb of space, whereas the Lite version of Instagram only uses 22.81mb.

Unfortunately, just like all other Lite app launches, Instagram Lite isn’t yet available in every country from the Google Play Store and has a limited release area for the foreseeable future. Thankfully, there is another way to get Instagram Lite on your Android device regardless of where you live.

How Do You Get Instagram Lite? (Instagram Lite Isn’t on the Play Store in My Country)

If you have read any of our other articles showing you how to acquire Lite apps before they are released internationally, you’ll know our next port of call. To begin you’ll need to visit APK Mirror, search Instagram Lite, then download the latest APK file. Alternatively, you can use the direct link below to save some time.

Download Instagram Lite From APK Mirror.

You can download the file directly from the browser on your phone or on your computer, then copy it to your Android device, either way works fine. Once you have the Instagram Lite APK on your device, installing it is easy, simply open the location you downloaded it too, then tap the APK file and follow the prompts. If you get stuck at any stage, you can check out our comprehensive Android APK installation guide here.

The APK installation should take less than a minute and will install Instagram Lite the same as every other app on your phone. Once the app is installed, sign in and start using it as you would the standard Instagram app. It will probably take a little getting used to as it is a little different, however, most things are still in the same location, it’s just the interface items have been fine-tuned and minimalized. Below are a few screenshots comparisons between Instagram and Instagram Lite. (left to right)
