Suggested March 2024 How To Install Apple Music On Windows 11 Pc

If there’s one thing in the tech world I have been waiting for the past few years, well, that has to be a full-fledged Apple Music app on Windows. Although Apple shut down iTunes for good on Macs with the announcement of macOS Catalina back in WWDC 2023, the Cupertino giant hasn’t shown interest in launching a dedicated Apple Music app for Windows. While we hoped Apple to bring Apple Music to Microsoft Store right in time for Windows 11’s launch, that didn’t happen. Fortunately, now that Windows 11 supports Android apps, we can install Apple Music in a few steps.

Install Apple Music on Windows 11 (2024)

If you are looking for the best ways to download music offline using Apple Music on your Windows PC, we have you covered. You will have to either use the Android app or iTunes. We have also detailed how to use Apple Music’s official web player and third-party Electron app to stream music on your Windows 11 PC. Now that you know what to expect, we can get right into it.

Method 1: Sideload Apple Music Android App on Windows 11

We are assuming that you are familiar with one of the best new features of Windows 11 – Windows Subsystem for Android. If you are not, check out our guide on how to install and run Android apps on Windows 11. In addition, go through our detailed guide on how to sideload Android apps to get your WSA installation ready. After doing both of these steps, follow the steps to install the Apple Music Android app on Windows 11.

1. We will source the Apple Music APK file from APKMirror. Visit the Apple Music listing right here and download the latest version of the app. Here, I will download the universal nodpi version of Apple Music 3.7.1. You can browse the site for newer versions of the app if you are reading this at a later date.

3. Open a Command prompt window at the root of your ADB installation. You can do that by typing cmd in the address bar on the File Explorer, as shown below.

4. Then, in the CMD window, copy and paste the command below in the following format:

5. Within a few seconds, you will see a confirmation prompt indicating that you have successfully installed the app. You can now head to the Windows 11 Start Menu to open the Apple Music Android app.

Set up Apple Music Android App on Windows 11

1. Press the Windows key to open the Windows 11 Start Menu and choose Apple Music from the Recommended section. If you have hidden the Recommended section, type ‘Apple Music’ to find and open the app.

3. After logging in, you get the full-fledged Apple Music experience you expect from the mobile app. Since this is the Android app, you can access Listen Now, Browse, Radio, Library, and Search options from the bottom navigation bar.

Download Tracks Offline Using Apple Music on Windows 11

The best part, however, is that you can download tracks offline using the Apple Music Android app on your Windows 11 machine.

2. You will find your offline songs in the Downloaded section under Library, just like the Android app. In a nutshell, if you have used Apple Music on Android, you won’t have any trouble getting started here.

Method 2: Install Apple Music Web Player on Windows 11 PC

Back in September 2023, Apple launched the Apple Music web player to bring the streaming service right to your web browser. If you are not planning to install and run Android apps on Windows 11, you can consider using Apple Music web instead. The downside, however, is that you can’t download music offline here. Here’s how to access the Apple Music web player:

1. Visit the Apple Music web player using the link here and sign in with your Apple ID.

Method 3: Install Apple Music Electron App on Windows 11

Method 4: Use iTunes to Access Apple Music on Windows 11

2. After installing iTunes, log in with your Apple ID and password to access all your Apple Music playlists right from iTunes.

3. You can now access your Apple Music account from your Windows 11 PC and even download songs offline if you prefer.

How To Install Windows 10 On Your Pc

Updated with a link to Microsoft’s Windows 10 support page.

You’ve read the review, pored through the tips and how-tos, and have waited breathlessly for the day that you can download Windows 10.

So how do you do it, exactly? We’ve got you covered.

There are three primary ways to obtain Windows 10: either buy a new PC with Windows 10 preloaded, buy a license key to Windows 10 online, or upgrade an existing Windows 8.1 or Windows 7 PC. We’re going to ignore the first option and focus on the latter two, which we’ll consider to be essentially the same scenario.

Let’s assume that you’re upgrading an older PC, then. If you own a qualifying Windows PC, you had the option of “reserving” a free copy of Windows 10, an offer which will expire a year from now. If you did reserve a copy, chances are that your PC has downloaded a copy of Windows 10 in the background. At some point, Windows 10 will invite you to begin the upgrade process.

That’s the simplest option, especially if you don’t have any immediate, desperate need to download Windows 10. Let Microsoft push Windows 10 at its leisure, and it will end up in your hands eventually.

But there’s a second option, one that’s a bit more fun. And that’s to download Windows 10 right now.

The new Windows media creation tool shortcut

Traditionally, Windows users would upgrade by inserting an installation CD or DVD into their PC. Over time, users became trained to burn their own .ISO files on their own media. And starting with Windows 8, Microsoft offered the option of restoring a Windows installation from an ISO file stored on a DVD or even on a flash drive. With the new Windows 10 media creation tool, you don’t even need to take that step—it creates a bootable flash drive that you don’t need to futz with. Just make sure the USB drive’s at least 3 GB in size. Mark Hachman

You have the option of using Microsoft’s tool either for upgrading the current PC, or to store the bits on a USB key for safekeeping.

On the media creation tool page, select the proper version—check the system settings to double-check whether you’re running a 32- or 64-bit OS. Then download and run it. Though simple, the tool has a number of lovely features—including the ability to simply upgrade the PC. Yes, it’s true—you don’t need the Windows 10 reservation, as the tool will simply jump you to the head of the line. Even better, you can select whether you want Windows 10 Home or Windows 10 Professional, either 32-bit or 64-bit versions, and even the installation language.

Mark Hachman

Note that you can use this tool not only to upgrade Windows 7 or Windows 8.1 PCs, but also Windows 10 PCs with older builds. Don’t get sneaky, though. You won’t be able to score a free upgrade to Windows 10 Professional if you existing license doesn’t support it. Here’s a recap of who gets what:

Host operating system edition

Windows 10 edition

Windows 7 Starter Windows 7 Home Basic Windows 7 Home Premium Windows 8/8.1 Windows 8.1 with Bing Windows 10 Home

Windows 10 Home

Windows 7 Professional Windows 7 Ultimate Windows 8 Pro Windows 8.1 Pro Windows 8/8.1 Professional with Media Center Windows 10 Pro

Windows 10 Pro

You can try a clean installation by booting directly from the USB key or DVD; when you do so, you have the option of keeping your files or wiping out everything. However, I ran into an issue where Windows claimed my disk partitions were improperly organized and refused to let me go further. I tried an in-place installation instead.

From there, however, the installation proceeded smoothly. Make sure you allow Windows to download relevant drivers as the installation proceeds. You’ll need to agree to a license agreement, and then the installation process will begin in earnest.

Mark Hachman

Make sure you allow Windows to grab updates as it goes.

That same menu offers a chance to roll back from Windows 10 to Windows 8.1, as well. That option expires a month after you upgrade to Windows 10.

Are you still having problems upgrading to Windows 10? Try Microsoft’s Windows 10 support page, complete with chat and phone options.

One final note: you can upgrade an earlier Windows 10 Insider build to the “RTM” version using the tool. But doing so will take you off of the Insider track. If you want to hop back on to enjoy further beta upgrades, you can enable it in the Settings.

But downgrade to Windows 8.1? Why? Windows 10 is terrific, and well worth the wait. And if you’re feeling a little nervous about your first steps into the brand new world of Windows—don’t worry. Our Windows 10 tutorial will arrive very soon. In the meantime, be sure to check out these 10 killer new Windows 10 features first.

Updated at 10:02 AM with a bit more information on the installation process and at 10:52 AM with more details about the Insider track.

Tunemobie Apple Music Converter For Mac And Windows Pc

I have always enjoyed using Apple Music. What I like about Apple’s popular music streaming service is the original content. Besides, it’s got the ability to feel your pulse and recommend songs that make an instant connection with your heartbeat.

You can listen to Apple Music songs only on the device with a valid subscription. For instance, you will be able to use it only on macOS, iOS, watchOS, Android, and Windows. What if you want to listen to Apple Music songs on your iPod Nano, iPod Shuffle, any MP3 players, PSP or Sony Walkman? That’s where TuneMobie-arguably the best Apple Music converter comes in.

Apple Music tracks are protected and available in the M4P format. Hence, you can’t enjoy them on unsupported devices. That apart, you won’t be able to use these songs as background music in video editing software or DVD authoring software like Filmora. But with this highly efficient music or audiobooks converter, you can effortlessly convert Apple Music tracks to MP3 format to overcome the hurdle.

Convert Music or Audiobooks without Any Loss of Quality

When I started using TuneMobie Apple Music Converter for Mac, the first thing that caught my eyes is its versatility. The software excels in converting Apple Music, audiobooks to MP3 and M4A. More significantly, it coverts music without any loss of quality.

This music converter keeps ID tags like song title, artist, album, composer, track number, disc number, genre, etc. in output files intact. As a user, I appreciate this functionality as it keeps the soul of your music alive even after the conversion. When I converted some of my favorite Apple Music songs to MP3 format, the first thing I checked out was the quality of the sound. And I couldn’t help appreciating its functionality.

Support Several Output Formats

The support of several output formats including MP3, M4A, M4R, FLAC, AC3, AIFF, AU, MKA further bolsters its versatility. There is very few music converters for Mac that is so featured. The wide compatibility offers the needed flexibility to use your tracks without any roadblocks.

You can easily convert your purchased iTunes music, audio files as well as M4P songs using TuneMobie. Besides, you will also be able to convert iTunes M4B audiobook, audible AA/AAX audiobook. The music converter lets you extract audio from iTunes movies, TV shows, MV and home videos as well.

Rename and Organize Output Songs Automatically

Another notable feature of this software is that it allows you to rename and organize output songs with optimum ease. You can rename converted Apple Music songs by title, artist, album name, track number, and disc number. It provides you the option to allow hyphen, space, and underline to rename the output songs as desired. Using slash, you will organize output songs by folder.

Convert at 16X Faster Speed

To me, the biggest highlight of this Apple Music converter for PC is the speed with which it allows you to convert tracks. The ability to perform the task with 16x faster speed makes it ideal for batch conversion.

Initially, I was a bit skeptical about its knack for converting tracks with 16x faster speed. I put it on the grill, and I found that it does live up to its claim with a fairly good result.

Based on your need, you can set audio codec, bitrate, sample rate, and channel. You will be able to load your entire iTunes library and integrate it with the software interface. Even better, it lets you directly convert Apple Music tracks online without needing to download them on your computer.

These features make it immensely user-friendly. More significantly, you are able to get your job done without spending too much time.

How to Convert Apple Music and Audiobooks Using TuneMobie

Step #1. Launch TuneMobie Apple Music Converter on your Mac or Windows PC.

When TuneMobie Apple Music Converter for Mac is launched, iTunes will be automatically opened as well. During the operation and conversion, iTunes needs to be running. If iTunes is running before you launch the program, you need to close it.

It has three panels; left, right and bottom panels. It has three buttons at the upper right that allow you to hide or display panels.

Step #2. Now, you have to select music Tracks.

Simply choose a playlist in the left panel; all the tracks in the playlist will show up on the right panel. You should see the name, duration, artist, status, album name, format type in the panel. When you check a song, the artwork of the album and music genre will be displayed.

Note: Use the search tool to find any specific track, which you want to convert.

Step #3. Next, you have to select the output format. Check out the two tabs in the bottom panel: “Output Settings” and “Metadata.”

In the “Output Settings” tab, you have the option to choose the output format as well as customize the parameters depending on your need. The Apple Music Converter for Mac has the support of multiple audio formats.

For instance, you can choose the M4R format, if you want to use your favorite music as your iPhone ringtone. Additionally, there is also an option to change codec, bitrate, sample rate, and channel.

By default, the output file is named as name.mp3. However, you get the option to rename it as desired. In the metadata tab, you will be able to change file information like name, artist, album artist, album, genre, and artwork.

Then, you have the option to sync output MP3/M4A songs to your iOS device. You can also copy output music files to any MP3 player.

Price and Availability

The Apple Music Converter for Mac and Windows PC is currently available for a huge discount of up to 60%–as a Christmas offer.

You can get it now at just $24.95 (original price $49.95) lifetime license for one computer. Its lifetime license for five computers comes at $49.95 (original price $99.95). As the offer is available for a limited time, you need to hurry up to grab it.

Converted MP3 can be enjoyed on Mac 10.6 or later, Windows 95 or later. However, the program can only run on PC or Mac with iTunes 12.2.2 or later installed. And this restricts Apple Music Converter to work on Mac 10.9.5 or later and Windows 7 or later.

What sets it apart from its rivals is the ability to convert tracks with the needed efficiency without damaging the quality. So, you will continue to enjoy listening to your favorite tracks even if they have been transformed into other formats. And this is what makes it a real deal for music lovers.

You can try out its free version before going for the licensed version just to ensure it rightly fits your requirements.

How To Install Windows Subsystem For Linux (Wsl) On Windows 11

To install WSL on Windows 11, open PowerShell or Command Prompt (admin), run the “wsl –install” command, and restart the computer.

The command will install WSL alongside the Ubuntu distribution.

Or, to install WSL with a specific distro, run the “wsl –install -d DISTRO-NAME” command.

Or, to install WSL from Microsoft Store, enable the “Virtual Machine Platform” feature and then download the WSL app from the Store.

On Windows 11, Microsoft simplified the installation process of the Windows Subsystem for Linux 2 (WSL) to only one command to download and install all the required components, which includes the virtual machine platform and Linux GUI apps.

In addition, the command also installs the latest Ubuntu distro by default. If you prefer another distribution of Linux, you can append an option in the command to install any of the supported distros. Alongside the new quick and easy process, you will also find another way to make it easier to update the kernel with only one command.

This guide will teach you the easy steps to install the WSL platform on your computer. In addition, we will outline the steps to update the Linux kernel on Windows 11.

Install WSL on Windows 11

To install WSL (Windows Subsystem for Linux) on Windows 11 from Command Prompt, use these steps:

Type the following command to install the WSL on Windows 11 and press Enter:

wsl --install

Restart your computer to finish the WSL installation on Windows 11.

Continue with the Linux distro setup as necessary.

After you complete the steps, the required Linux components will install automatically on Windows 11 and the latest version of the Ubuntu Linux distribution.

Install WSL with specific distro on Windows 11

If you prefer another flavor of Linux, the WSL2 command includes an option to view and select a different distro.

To install WSL with a specific distro on Windows 11, use these steps:

Open Start.

Type the following command to view a list of available WSL distros you can install on Windows 11 and press Enter:

wsl --list --online

Quick note: You can install Ubuntu, Debian, Kali Linux, openSUSE, and SUSE Linux Enterprise Server.

Type the following command to install the WSL with a specific distro on Windows 11 and press Enter:

wsl --install -d DISTRO-NAME

In the command, remember to replace “DISTRO-NAME” with the name of the distro you want to install, such as Debian.

Restart your computer to finish the WSL installation on Windows 11.

Continue with the Linux distro setup as necessary.

Once you complete the steps, the Windows Subsystem for Linux 2 components will install along with the distro of Linux you specified.

To update the WSL kernel from Command Prompt, use these steps:

Open Start.

Type the following command to update the WSL kernel on Windows 11 and press Enter:

wsl --update

After you complete the steps, if an update is available, it will download and install on your computer.

Install WSL from Microsoft Store

You can also download all the components wrapped into an app from the Microsoft Store. The benefit of using this approach is that feature will run isolated from Windows 11, and updates will be available through the Microsoft Store without waiting for the next version of the operating system to install the newest version.

To install WSL from the Microsoft Store, use these steps:

1. Enable Virtual Machine Platform

Open Start.

Check the Virtual Machine Platform option.

After completing the steps, you can download the app from the Microsoft Store.

2. Install Windows Subsystem for Linux app

Open the Windows Subsystem for Linux store page.

3. Install Linux distro

Open Microsoft Store app.

Search for the Linux distro. For example, Debian.

Once you complete the steps, WSL will install on Windows 11, including the support for Linux GUI apps and the Linux distribution.

How To Install Remix Os On A Windows Pc Or Mac

Android is a great operating system for touch based mobile devices but have you ever thought about Android as a computer operating system? We are sure you have! Everyone believes Android can be a worthy computer OS with time, considering it’s feature rich and has more than a billion apps but the problem is, it wasn’t built to be used with a keyboard and mouse. Well, that’s what Jide’s Remix OS plans to change.

Remix OS: The Android PC dream might become a reality soon

Remix OS is a desktop operating system build on the open-source Android x86 project, which features a multi window environment built over Android 5.0 Lollipop (According to Jide, it will soon take the leap to Android 6.0 Marshmallow). The OS is aimed at people who want to use an Android PC in the conventional way, that’s through a keyboard and a mouse. So, basically you can go ahead and get Android running on your Windows, Mac or Linux PC with Remix OS. Another good thing is you can run Remix OS from a USB flash drive rather than going through the hassle of overriding your current OS.

Talking about the OS’s interface, the homescreen brings a Start menu, taskbar and system tray similar to what we see in Windows. All in all, it has a very Windows-like experience even when it comes to the apps. The Android apps here have been optimized to play well with Remix OS’ multi-window functionality. Like Windows, the apps can be minimized, maximized and you can even run multiple app windows over each other. The current alpha build does not feature the Google Play Store but you can sideload it and get more than 1.6 billion apps that Android offers.

Coming back to Remix OS, as you might have already guessed from the title, we are here to tell you how you can install Remix OS on a Windows PC. Here’s how to do it:

Run Remix OS on Windows PC through a USB Flash Drive System Requirements

8 GB+ USB 3.0 FAT32 flash drive

64-bit CPU (Intel and AMD)

Note: We tried to run Remix OS on a USB 2.0 flash drive and although it worked, you can only use the “Guest mode”. The OS is also not supported on older ARM CPUs that power some Chromebooks and older Macs.

Install Remix OS on USB Flash Drive

Note: The Remix OS alpha build is available to install here and since it’s an early developer build, it might be buggy. But thankfully, you can run the OS from the USB flash drive itself, so no worries about losing your system data.

1. Download Remix OS package (around 700 MB) and extract it. The “legacy” version is for older PCs while the EFI (Extensible Firmware Interface) version is for modern PCs, which have higher & faster storage hard drives. We will recommend the legacy version if you have a traditional Windows PC and EFI version if you a Mac or a new higher end Windows PC, so download accordingly. The package includes the Remix OS ISO file and Remix OS USB tool.

2. Format the USB flash drive you are going to use in FAT32 format.

Boot Remix OS from a USB flash drive

1. Connect the Remix OS bootable USB flash drive to the PC.

2. Go to BIOS settings on your PC by pressing F12/F2 or whichever key your system supports. Then, go to Boot options and disable “Secure Boot”. Then, set USB flash drive as first in the boot preference and restart your PC.

4. After you’ve selected a mode, Remix OS will start up for the first time. It might take a while depending on your system configurations.

5. The OS will then set up your language settings, WiFi connection, user agreement etc. Once the setup is complete, you will see the Remix OS homescreen.

How to Install Google Play Store & Services

Jide claims to be in talks with Google to bring its Play Store services to Remix OS but the current alpha build does not feature the Play Store. Well, Android has no limitations, which means you can install Google Play Services on Remix OS pretty easily. Here’s how you can do it:

1. Go to Remix OS’ start menu and open “Browser“. Download the GMSInstaller APK file from this link here and install it.

3. Once done, you will see the icon of Google Play Store in the start menu. You can then open the Store and login with your Google account and install whatever apps you want.

How to update Remix OS

Jide currently does not offer automatic over-the-air updates but you can get it manually. The process is pretty easy, as all you need to do is burn the latest Remix OS build to the same flash drive you’ve been using without formatting it. That will get you the latest Remix OS version without you losing any of your apps or data.
