Unifi Farms Beta Launches on Unifi Protocol to Pioneer No-Stake Farming
Singapore, Singapore, 26th February 2023: Unifi Protocol announces the launch of Unifi Farms. The most revolutionary part of Unifi Farms is there is no staking of the liquidity token required. The public beta launch of Unifi Farms V1 will take place on not one, not two, but six different blockchains at once.
Unifi is proud to announce the upcoming public beta launch of Unifi Farms V1 on Binance Smart Chain!
Why is farming without staking so revolutionary?
Savings! Everyone agrees the high network fees on Ethereum have a large impact on the farming rewards earned by liquidity providers. Even on low-cost networks such as Binance Smart Chain, the network fee is a cost that reduces the benefit of farming.
To participate in most farms, the user pays at least five network fees. First – provide liquidity, second – stake the liquidity token in the farm, third – claim the reward, fourth – unstake the liquidity token, fifth – exchange the liquidity token back into the original liquidity.
Unifi Farms only requires two network fees. First – Provide Liquidity, Second – exchange the liquidity token back into liquidity. You may choose to claim Unifi Farm rewards at any time, as often as you like, which does cost an extra network fee. But that is optional with Unifi. You may choose to let the rewards grow until you remove the liquidity, which will automatically claim your rewards with no extra network cost!
Security! We believe that hacks are a prevalent and unfortunate trend in the DeFi space. They demoralize potential users from participating in different projects and create anxiety for almost everyone involved. The largest risk of staking your liquidity tokens is that those tokens leave your wallet and go to the DeFi platform’s contract. This puts digital assets at high risk. Unifi Farms does not require you to stake your liquidity provider tokens at all. Which means they stay in the best possible place – your wallet! Unifi Farms does not take liquidity tokens, never has control over your liquidity tokens, may not transfer or lose them, or even have them stolen. Because you keep them securely in your wallet the entire time. Who do you trust the most with your liquidity tokens, the farming platform, or yourself?
Convenience! There are no extra steps required to have your liquidity earn more rewards through farming! Depositing liquidity on Unifi already earns you a share of the trading fees in that pair. Now with Unifi Farms, earn even more with no additional staking action needed. Your liquidity automatically qualifies for available farming rewards. All you have to do is claim them.
It is that simple. Provide liquidity, earn farming rewards. No staking of LP tokens required.
Let’s break it down even more:
Deposit liquidity and automatically earn rewards on top of rewards. This suggests zero transaction fees to start farming – there is no need to stake or unstake any tokens to start earning rewards. Security is a huge differentiator for Unifi Farms. Unifi Protocol never takes possession of your LP (Liquidity Provided) token at any time. They stay in your wallet the whole time, which means you may claim your UP or withdraw your liquidity at any time. Unifi Farms is non-custodial.
Beta Launch Promotion Event
The initial public beta launch of Unifi Farms is a promotional event that will commence in the very, very near future and run for 2 weeks only. At this time, there is no commitment from Unifi for farming rewards beyond this promotional event, although it is possible future support will be announced.
In order to participate in this opportunity, it is recommended to deposit liquidity now so that when the promotion begins, you will automatically begin earning farming rewards. It’s probable that the highest yield farming rewards will be earned by early liquidity providers. See below for how to participate.
Make sure to follow Unifi Protocol’s social media channels for announcements regarding the beta launch of Unifi Farms.

Jet Protocol Lists On Ascendex
AscendEX is thrilled to announce the listing of the Jet Protocol token (JET) under the trading pair JET/USDT on Oct. 14 at 1 p.m. UTC. To celebrate the listing of JET, AscendEX will host two separate auctions that will take place simultaneously on October 13 between 1 p.m. and 2 p.m. UTC.
Jet Protocol will be launched as an open-source, non-custodial, borrowing and lending protocol on the Solana Blockchain. It engineers new possibilities for capital efficiency, performance, and scalability.
Jet allows users to participate in lending pools where they deposit supported tokens to receive interest, or “yield” over time, as a participation incentive. Those deposits remain in a pool used for issuing loans to other users for as long as the assets remain delegated.
Jet believes that borrowing and lending protocols are integral to the DeFi ecosystem. The decision to build on Solana was based on its unmatched transaction speed and low fees. The Solana integration will allow Jet to contribute and grow on-chain DeFi lending.
The project anticipates a gradual integration of broader interest and more efficient trading. In addition to lending, Jet will introduce interest rate products and secondary markets on Serum, facilitating ongoing, community-driven, lending product research and development.
Through these methods, Jet makes it easy for users to earn interest with their JET tokens.
Jet is planning to launch with a dedicated governance system that leverages their founding team’s unique and extensive experience in protocol governance. This governance-oriented approach aims to work with the community to set a clear precedent for how the Protocol will operate.
Jet will innovate on tested governance models from existing protocols while focusing on community ownership and engagement. The most important aspect of this approach is to build an inclusive community to research, design, and implement useful lending products.
So, the token holders will have a say in the future of the platform. This focus on community is core to Jet’s mission of bringing DeFi protocols into the mainstream.
Prior to a successful mainnet launch this week, Jet recently completed a follow-on funding round that included AscendEX among other partners bringing in a total of $6.8mm to the project. This latest fundraise has highlighted the strong support for Jet from a variety of stakeholders including AscendEX.

Bittorrent Sync Ios App Launches On App Store
The service entered Beta last month, which also saw the release of an Android client, a free download from Google’s Play store. No, BitTorrent hasn’t forgotten about iOS users: today saw the release of BitTorrent Sync for iOS.
Just like its Android counterpart, the iPhone and iPad app lets mobile users sync up work folders to their tablet or smartphone, back up their precious photos, share files directly to friends and collaborators and more…
BitTorrent Sync is designed to permit hassle-free file transfer between mobile and desktop devices while minimizing the impact on your privacy and security.
BitTorrent Sync is a brand new product from BitTorrent that lets you sync an unlimited number of files and folders of any size across all of your trusted devices.
BitTorrent Sync for iOS gives you access to all of your synced folders when you’re on the go, and introduces a new mobile-to-mobile sharing feature for easily sending your photos and videos to your friends.
The app is easy to use and contains basic functions for accessing photos stored on your Mac. You can easily move over documents to your iPhone, back up photos from your iPod touch to your laptop, send work projects to your iPad at home and more.
BitTorrent Sync started from a simple concept: your data belongs to you, no matter where you are. This means you should be able to pick up your work on any device, or send your photos across the world, and back.
Here are the key features, via iTunes release notes.
• Connecting the iOS application to other Sync folders is as easy as taking a picture of a QR code with your camera.
According to a blog post, sync doesn’t rely on servers, which are vulnerable to hacks and prying eyes, and it skips the cloud altogether.
The amount of user data they’ve processed so far is insane.
“We are closing in on 14 petabytes synced since the open alpha in April,” a spokesperson told TechCrunch. “We were at 8 petabytes in July when we moved into beta.”
Backing up your documents and photos differs from Dropbox, which pushes files to your devices from a central cloud repository, opening doors to eavesdropping and wide-scale data collection under the U.S. government’s secretive Prism program.
With BitTorrent Sync, files are being moved directly between devices, using BitTorrent’s efficient P2P distribution architecture.

It gets even better: there’s no file-size limit like with many other syncing services.
Although BitTorrent is considering premium features, the spokesperson said the basic features will always be free of charge. As for premium tiers, BitTorrent signals these could target enterprise users who above all value cost savings, added security and speed benefits and are willing to vote with their wallet for such features.
Last but not least, the team has localized the Sync service into ten additional languages: German, Spanish, French, Italian, Japanese, Russian, Chinese (Simplified and Traditional) and Portuguese (Brazil and Portugal).
Download BitTorrent Sync free from the App Store.
In the aftermath of the CIA snooping, a lot of people are now considering secure file-sharing solutions akin to BitTorrent Sync.
And on that note, the Internet mogul Kim Dotcom has confirmed recently he’ll soon release a free iOS app designed to let users of its Mega storage service browse, upload and download files, photos and videos (yes, there’s a Camera Sync option, too).
The software promises to protect your privacy by encrypting everything. You’ll also be able to search across your Mega account, share files via public links and delete, rename, move and create individual files and folders.
An those concerned about protecting contents of their communication should keep an eye on PirateBay co-founder’s upcoming iOS messaging app sporting end-to-end encryption.

No Peace = No Sex
A spirit of playfulness infuses Lydia Diamond’s modern take on Aristophanes’ racy Greek comedy classic Lysistrata, originally written between 427 and 387 B.C. It’s partly the subject matter — Lysistrata is about a group of women who stage a sex strike to end the Peloponnesian War — but also the project’s pacing, which had Diamond still writing the play, titled Lizzie Stranton, even as rehearsals were under way.
“It was faster than most projects ever happen in theater,” says Diamond, a College of Fine Arts assistant professor of playwriting. “It was a challenge, artistically, writing something in four months. But it was so wonderful collaborating with student designers, stage management who were students, professional theater makers and educators, who were all totally on board with the spirit of, ‘The play isn’t even done and we’re going into rehearsals.’ It was all very laid-back and fun.”
In Lizzie Stranton — which opens at the Wimberly Theatre on Thursday, December 11 — Lizzie Stranton is an African-American woman living in a fictional America-like country in 2023, led by a black president and first lady. The economy is in chaos and the world embroiled in war. As in the original, Lizzie organizes a sex strike to try and force an end to the fighting. “There’s something disturbing and wonderful about the timeliness of the play,” Diamond says. “Things are so precarious right now. It’s sometimes easier to acknowledge and process that through comedy.”
The production is part of the school of theatre’s New Play Initiative, a program that connects CFA faculty and students with professional theaters such as Boston University’s Huntington Theatre Company, the Guthrie Theater in Minneapolis, Minn., the Woolly Mammoth Theatre in Washington, D.C., and the Olney Theatre in Maryland.
While Lizzie Stranton is a brand-new play, it is “unabashedly based on the Lysistrata story,” says Diamond, who several years ago adapted the Toni Morrison novel The Bluest Eye to much acclaim. “It was a really good lesson in creativity. There was a certain level of letting go and trusting that made it a successful project. The process of making it fits the telling of the piece.”
Elaine Vaan Hogue, a CFA assistant professor of acting and directing and the director of Lizzie Stranton, says that war and sex cut across all time and cultural barriers and keep a play like Lysistrata relevant today.
“Lizzie’s plan, as outlandish as it seems, is actually a very practical and doable thing,” Vaan Hogue says. “I hope that our audiences laugh and have outrageous fun. I don’t believe in message theater. I invite our audiences to enter into Lizzie’s world, to engage a unique perspective on war and sex, and to take away what has meaning and resonance for them personally.”
Lizzie Stranton runs December 11 through 20 at the BCA Calderwood Pavilion’s Wimberly Theatre, 527 Tremont St., Boston. Tickets are $12 for the general public; $10 for students, senior citizens, BU alumni, Huntington Theatre Company subscribers, and WGBH members; one free ticket for the BU community, with BU ID, at the door on the day of the performance, subject to availability. Vaan Hogue, Diamond, and dramaturg Ilana Brownstein, a CFA lecturer, will host a postperformance talk on Thursday, December 11. The performance on Thursday, December 18, will be ASL interpreted.
