As part of the Redstone 5 development, Microsoft is now rolling out Windows 10 build 17682 for testers with devices enrolled in the Fast ring and Skip Ahead lane of the Windows Insider Program. This new update isn’t significant, but it introduces a few new features and a slew of improvements over the previous build.
Windows 10 build 17682, according to the company, delivers improvements to Sets and to the experience when projecting content wirelessly. Microsoft Edge introduces improvements that developers can implement to facilitate authentication. Remote Server Administration Tools (RSAT) are now available on demand through the Settings app. In addition, the out-of-box experience (OOBE) has been updated to help users configure new features, such as Windows Hello, link your phone to your PC, Timeline, OneDrive, and Office.

SetsStarting with Windows 10 build 17682, Sets is updating the new tab page listing your frequent apps at making it more obvious that you can use this page to launch applications. Also, the new tab page displays the all apps list so you can quickly start any app, instead of having to open the Start menu.
Wireless presentationIn order to help you to know when you’re wirelessly projecting and how to disconnect, Redstone 5 introduces a control banner at the top of the screen when you’re projecting.
The banner will keep you informed about the state of your connection, allow you to quick disconnect or reconnect, and tune the connection.
Game mode — minimizes the screen to screen latency to make gaming over a wireless connection possible.
Video mode — increases the screen to screen latency to ensure the video on the big screen plays back smoothly and without glitching.
Productivity modes — strikes a good balance between game mode and video mode where the screen to screen latency is responsive enough that typing feels natural, while ensuring videos don’t glitch frequently.
Microsoft EdgeWindows 10 build 17682 delivers an updated version of Microsoft Edge that comes with a preview for Web Authentication support, which provides an open, scalable, and interoperable solution to facilitate authentication, which replaces passwords with stronger hardware-bound credentials.
Using this new implementation lets users to use Windows Hello (via PIN or biometrics) and external authenticators like FIDO2 Security Keys or FIDO U2F Security Keys, to securely authenticate to websites.
Remote Server Administration ToolsStarting with build 17682, Windows 10 allows to install Remote Server Administration Tools (RSAT) using the Settings app Manage optional features page.
Once the tools are installed, the next time you upgrade, Windows 10 will automatically add them again to your device.

Windows 10 Build 17723 Releases With New Features
Microsoft is now rolling out Windows 10 build 17723 for devices enrolled in the Fast ring of the Windows Insider Program. This is the twentieth preview that becomes available as part of the Redstone 5 development, and it includes a new set of enhancements and features expected to arrive in September or October.
Windows 10 Insider Preview build 17723, according to the software maker, uses machine learning to prevent reboots to apply updates while you’re using your device. This flight also delivers improvements for Microsoft Edge, and emoji version 11 arrives to Windows 10 with 157 new emojis.

Windows UpdatePerhaps one of the most frustrating aspects about Windows 10 is the ability to try to install new updates while you’re working on your computer. Starting with build 17723, if you have an update pending, Windows 10 will use an updated “reboot logic” to be more “adaptive and proactive.” Using cloud machine learning, Microsoft has trained a “predictive model” to accurately predict when is the right time to restart the device.
Game barIn this flight, you can now open the Game bar from the Start menu or using the Windows + G keyboard shortcut.
Windows Mixed Reality Microsoft EdgeThis flight also introduces several improvements for Microsoft Edge, including Acrylic effect (part of Fluent Design) for the main menu.
The default web browser is getting a few new policies for administrators, including policies to control full-screen mode, printing, favorites bar, and saving history. In addition, you’ll find new Group Policies and MDM settings to prevent certificate error overrides, configure the Home button and startup options, set the New Tab page and Home button URL, and managing extensions.
EmojiIn addition, this release also includes tweaks in some of the existing emojis.
TimeStarting with this flight, Windows 10 includes support for Leap Second, which allows occasional 1-second adjustments in a traceable and UTC-compliant manner.
This build also includes a new time protocol that delivers far more accurate time samples to the endpoint to display time more accurately. In addition, you can now further improve your network time accuracy by eliminating the software delay introduced by the Windows networking stack.
KioskIn this Redstone 5 update, the Settings app is making easier to set up devices as kiosk or digital sign devices.
The new page provides a wizard that walks you through the kiosk setup flow including creating a kiosk account that will automatically sign in on device start.
Additionally, Microsoft Edge now works with assigned access which allows administrators to create a tailored browsing experience designed for kiosk devices. Supported kiosk mode include digital and interactive signage, two public browsing modes, and normal mode.
Additional improvementsAlongside the numerous tweaks and new features, Windows 10 build 17723 also ships with some additional improvements, including a new icon for the Delivery Optimization Settings page, and some tweaks to the design of the Cortana & Search landing page, specifically in situations where Cortana isn’t enabled or supported.
Windows 10 version 1903 (19H1)Along with build 17723, Microsoft is also releasing Windows 10 build 18204 for devices using the Skip Ahead option. This marks the first preview for the next major release of Windows 10 coming in the first half of 2023.
Currently build 18204 includes all the same changes found in 17723, but eventually, the company will start adding different improvements and features specific for the 19H1 development.

Windows 10 Creators Update New Features
Windows 10 Creators Update is the third major feature update that Microsoft is releasing for PC, phone, Xbox, IoT, and HoloLens devices with a slew of new features, changes, and improvements.
The update is available for download starting April 11, 2023. Initially, Microsoft plans to push the Creators Update to select PCs, laptops, and tablets will be getting the update first, and when the update has been proven to work as expected, the company will continue the rollout with other devices. Eventually, the Creators Update will also release for Windows 10 Mobile, Xbox One, and other devices.
Microsoft is referring the update as “Windows 10 version 1703” following the same version scheme we’ve seen with the Anniversary Update (version 1607), and the November Update (version 1511), which indicates the year and month of the release.
Similar to previous releases, the Creators Update is available as a free update for devices running Windows 10.
Formerly known with the Windows 10 “Redstone 2” codename, this is a significant update that will focus on making everyone a creator with new features and experiences.
What’s new on the Windows 10 Creators UpdateHere’s the list of the most exciting features coming to Windows 10 with the Creators Update.
Start menuOn this version of the operating system, Microsoft continues to make improvements in the Start menu. In the Creators Update, you’ll be able to hide the app list with a new toggle switch in the Settings app.
With this new implementation, you can now see two extra buttons in the left rail to switch between the tiles and the apps list view. The new feature works identically to the Start screen on tablet mode.
CortanaMicrosoft’s digital assistant is getting more useful. In the Creators Update, the assistant can now to control music playback on more apps, including iHeartRadio and TuneIn Radio. And you won’t have to repeat the name of the app every time you say a command, because Cortana will remember the last app you used to play music.
One exciting new feature is Cortana in full-screen mode. Now when your computer is unlocked and idle for at least 10 seconds, you can say “Hey Cortana” to get the same full-screen experience you can get now while your PC is locked.
As more developers continue to integrate Cortana into their apps, it’s becoming difficult to keep up on the voice commands you can use with specific apps. To address this issue, in the Creators Update, when you type the name of an app in the search box, Cortana will surface commands suggestions that you can use.
Similar to Apple’s macOS Handoff, you can now start working on an app, file, or website you’re reading on Microsoft Edge, and pick up where you left off on another computer using Cortana. This feature works automatically on all your devices running the Creators Update, and you can see all your activities you can resume from the Cortana home page and on Action Center.
File ExplorerWhile there has been rumors in the past of Microsoft building a new File Explorer, it seems that the experience will remain virtually unchanged. However, you’ll now see new tip notifications to help users discover the new features in Windows 10.
Windows Share CaptureWindows 10 now lets you use the Windows + Shift + S keyboard shortcut to capture a region of your screen and copy it to the clipboard. You can then paste it in OneNote or any other app.
Action CenterAs part of the new Windows 10 Creators Update features set, Action Center isn’t not getting a lot of significant changes, but Windows Store now shows download progress inside of the Action Center.
Lunar calendarThe Date & Time settings page incorporates a new option to add the Simplified or Traditional Chinese lunar calendar to the calendar flyout on the Taskbar.
Touchpad settingsOne way the company is improving touch on Windows 10 is by adding new touchpad functionalities. Now you’ll see a new Touchpad settings page to configure options for three and four finger gestures. In addition, a new “Advanced Gestures Configuration” page will let you configure even more settings.
Virtual touchpadThere is also a new virtual touchpad available for tablets that you can use to control external monitors. This feature is available through the taskbar when connecting a secondary display to the tablet.

PersonalizationThe Creators Update continues to improve the personalization features to let you customize the look and feel of Windows 10.
On Windows 10 version 1703, the Personalization page adds a new color picker to lets you select any color, and not just a set of predefined colors.
Additionally, you can now download themes from the Windows Store, and you have the choice to get free and paid themes to personalize your experience.
AppsThis new version breaks the System settings section into two sections, including System and Apps.
Apps is now the place you’ll find the settings for Apps & features, Default apps, Offline maps, and Apps for websites.
All the settings in this section remains exactly the same, except that Apps & features now introduces a new option to control what type of apps are allowed to install on your computer.
Under “Installing apps”, you can choose to only allow installation of Store apps, get warning when installing a non-Store app but allow their installation, or choose to allow installation of apps from anywhere.
Additionally, when you uninstall built-in app, such as Mail and Feedback Hub, Windows 10 will remember, and it won’t automatically reinstall them again when you upgrade to a new version.
Dynamic LockDynamic Lock (Windows Goodbye) is a new feature that automatically locks your device when you’re not around based on the proximity of a Bluetooth-paired phone. When your Bluetooth-paired phone is not found near your computer, Windows 10 turns off the screen and locks the PC after 30 seconds.
You’ll find the feature particularly useful for organizations to add an extra layer of security for employees who have to be working with sensitive information on their computers.
Another minor improvement includes no longer having to press the Num Lock key to enter a PIN as you sign in to Windows 10.
Windows UpdateThe new approach reduces the download size of a feature update by 35 percent, making it faster to upgrade to a new version. The Unified Update Platform will benefit all devices (especially mobile devices), as installation will reduce processor cycles and less power, optimizing battery life laptops, tablets, and phones.
The update servicing mechanism makes it faster for devices to check for updates as the Windows Update server will be the ones doing most of the work to identify which updates need to be downloaded on the device.
Windows 10 now offers a prompt with options to postpone pending updates and prevent sudden reboots. When a new update is ready to install, you’ll get a prompt with a new snooze option that will delay applying and rebooting your computer for 3 days, which should be enough time to save your work.
On an effort to address the ongoing problems with mandatory updates, Microsoft is also adding a new option to let you temporarily “pause updates” from being installed on your computer for up to 7 days.
In addition, you can now set Active Hours up to 18 hours, this way Windows 10 won’t try to restart to apply new updates during those hours. Previously, you could only set up this feature up to 12 hours. Windows Update will detect whether if you’re projecting to prevent automatically restarting.
TroubleshootMicrosoft is adding a new Troubleshoot page in the Settings app to find and fix many common problems, including network, audio, printer, Windows Update, Blue Screen of Death, Bluetooth, hardware and other devices.
NetworkingThe Creators Update also introduces support for wireless 802.11ad technology, also known as WiGig.
Using WiGig, supported wireless network adapters and routers can make use of the 60Ghz frequency to deliver up to 8Gbps speeds. However, this isn’t something that you’ll be able to just turn on. You’ll need to upgrade your wireless adapter and router to support 802.11ad.
On Windows 10 version 1703, you can set Ethernet connections as metered. Just like mobile broadband and Wi-Fi connections, this option helps you to restrict background data usage from some applications and gives you more control over how data is used over the Ethernet connection.
Also, Windows 10 now allows you to manually turn a Wi-Fi connection off with the option to set a schedule to automatically turn it back on after a predefined number of hours.
Service hostsUnder the hood, on devices featuring 3.5GB or more RAM, service hosts will split into separate processes, as with today’s hardware there is not substantial memory-saving by grouping service hosts into one process.
Reliability: Because grouping services into one process can crash other services, this new approach removes the single point of failure scenario.
Transparency: Users will now be able to quickly see the processor, memory, disk & network that an individual service is using.
Servicing efficiency: Technical users will now be able to quickly pinpoint issues and get them resolve faster.
Security: Process isolation and individual permission set for services increases security in the operating system.
Registry EditorThe Registry Editor hasn’t really changed much since Windows 95. However, the Creators Update adds a new address bar to quickly jump to a path, and the ability to change the font style. These aren’t very significant improvements, but nonetheless are good additions.
Scaling (High-DPI) supportAlthough the operating system does a decent job scaling the user interface on high-DPI displays, traditional desktop applications don’t scale well. In the Creators Update there are new scaling improvements and some desktop applications will automatically look more crisp on displays with high density pixels.
Additionally, because desktop icons don’t scale or arrange properly, especially after docking/undocking your device, when using a multi-monitor setup with different scaling settings. On version 1703, when working with a multi-monitor configuration (e.g., dock/undock device, project to an external display, and add or remove monitor), icons will now scale properly.
Picture-in-PictureThe Creators Update is also introducing a new Picture-in-Picture mode, which Microsoft calls “compact overlay”. The new feature allows developers to add a compact view to their Windows Store apps. This way, you can continue to do other things, such as watching a movie or having a Skype video call while you’re checking your emails.
3D & mixed realityThe new Windows 10 Creators Update features set brings 3D to the masses and affordable mixed reality gear for everyone.
In this new version, the operating system includes a new version of the Paint app simply called “Paint 3D” with a new user interface to support creating, capturing, printing, and sharing on 3D.
Microsoft has also unveiled Remix 3D, which is an online community to find and share 3D projects with other people. In addition, Office will be adding 3D support sometime in 2023, and more apps will get 3D in the future.
The next major update of Windows 10 includes augmented reality and virtual reality out-of-the-box with the addition of Microsoft’s Windows Mixed Reality shell. This will enable users to experience apps, games, and media in a total different way.

Night lightSimilar to Android’s Night mode and Apple’s Night Shift, Windows 10 version 1703 now includes Night Light, a new feature to adjust your display tone and colors to help reduce eye strain and improve your sleep quality.
BrailleThe Creators Update brings support for braille input and output through the Ease of Access settings. Support braille displays is available for more than 35 manufacturers, using more than 40 languages and multiple braille variants, including grade 2 contracted braille.
Alongside brailler support, in this new version, you’ll find improvements on Narrator support, there are new audio experiences, and Microsoft is improving the integration of Windows 10 with assistive technologies with other products, including Office 365.
Privacy settingsWindows 10 is also introducing new changes that makes it easier to choose the privacy and diagnostic data collection settings.
The new experience looks identically to the new privacy settings panel you’ll see during the new out-of-box-experience (OOBE), and it’s easier to understand.
Windows InkIn the pen support front, Windows Ink will be bringing a number of improvements, including a new protractor tool for Sketchpad and Screen sketch.
On Screen Sketch and Sketchpad, you’ll get a preview of color and width of the ink as you make your choices in the pen, pencil, and highlighter flyouts. And Screen Sketch gets a new Resume previous option to recover previous sketches.
Sticky Notes gets updated as well with support for address, time, phone number, stock symbols, and flight information when using digital ink.
Windows DefenderWindows 10 now includes a new Windows Defender dashboard that uses the same design language we’re now seeing on the Store, and it’s known as “Windows Defender Security Center”.
Alongside the new name, the dashboard is the new place to control malware protection, device performance and health, firewall and network protection, and family options.
Windows Defender Security Center also includes “Fresh start” to reinstall the operating system when things aren’t working correctly. This new feature helps you to do a clean install of Windows 10 with the latest update.
Using the new process will keep your files and some of your settings, but it’ll remove most of your applications.
It should be noted that Windows Defender Antivirus no longer appears in the Settings app, now everything is managed through the new dashboard.
Microsoft EdgeMicrosoft Edge is also part of Windows 10, and it’s getting significant improvements.
Currently hovering over a tab will pop a small preview overlaying on top of the page, which can get in the way of other elements. With version 1703, Microsoft Edge now gets a new tab management system that pushes the content down unveiling a preview of all your open tabs in a carousel view.
The browser also introduces “Tab I’ve set aside,” which is a new feature to save a group of tabs for later viewing.
Perhaps another interesting feature is Microsoft Edge in HoloLens also evolves for a more immersive 3D experience with support for WebVR, a standard that allows websites to offer virtual reality experiences similar to desktop applications.
As the internet continues is transition from Adobe Flash to HTML5, similar to other web browsers, Microsoft Edge will by default block Adobe Flash content by default to improve battery life, performance, and security. However, the company will allow users to enable Flash on those site you visit frequently with an option that will appear in address bar.
According to Microsoft, 46% of people buying online leave the site during the payment process due to complexity and required effort. In the Windows 10 Creators Update, Microsoft Edge introduces a new Payment Request API that connects to Microsoft Wallet to access user’s payment information and complete a checkout securely using a Microsoft account.
In addition, because payment information is stored in your Microsoft Wallet, users don’t have to go through the traditional checkout flows and repeatedly enter the payment information and shipping address repeatedly. The wallet feature for Microsoft Edge provides a faster and more consistent experiences across websites and devices.
The Creators Update also brings ebooks to Windows Store. Once you made your purchase, you’ll find your books in the new Books library inside of Hub.
Other customization options include text spacing to improve reading speed and comprehension. You can change the font and text size, themes, navigation control and more.
On version 1703, Microsoft Edge introduces an updated version of Web Notes with a new interface that matches the Windows Ink experience.
The browser also supports Brotli compression to offer better compression ratios and decompression speeds, which simply means that websites should now load faster.
Windows 10 Creators Update gaming featuresXbox One and Windows 10 finally include support gaming in 4K resolution, and Beam integration offers in-game broadcasting.
For those unfamiliar, similar to Twitch and YouTube Gaming, Beam is a video gaming broadcasting platform recently acquired by Microsoft, and now it’ll be part of Xbox and Windows 10.
In addition, Microsoft is including full support for Dolby Atmos for Blu-ray content and games on Xbox One as well as on Windows 10. However, you’ll need a set of high-end speakers that support Atmos. Though the company says that virtually any pair of headphones will offer a similar experience.
Games you acquire from the Windows Store now include device drivers to make sure games you buy will always have the required driver for the game to run well.
On Windows 10, the software giant is bringing “Game Mode”, which is a new feature that allows the operating system to control the your system resources to increase gaming performance.
The new major update also adds a new Gaming section to the Settings app to configure Game Bar, Game DVR , Broadcasting, and Game mode.
On Xbox One, the Creators Update will add the ability for users to create custom tournaments to Arena on Xbox Live, and bitstream audio pass-through.

Additional features include Windows Display Driver Model 2.2 (WDDM 2.2) to help in mixed reality scenarios. Windows 10 version 1703 also features high dynamic range (HDR) and wide color gamut support for games and media.

When you first start using Android 10, it won’t look all that different from version 9. In fact, the biggest change you’re going to encounter is that it doesn’t have a tasty dessert moniker attached to it. But even without any radical new features, Android “Don’t Call It Q” charts a whole new path for the OS, with new ways to navigate, customize, and secure your phone. For the apps and elements that support it, you can turn on Dark theme in two ways. The quickest is inside the Notification shade. Just swipe down from the top of the screen, swipe again to expand the quick settings, and tap the Dark theme icon. Alternatively, you can find a toggle inside the Display settings. Google is already teasing a dark mode for Maps and Assistant on its Android 10 site, so it shouldn’t be long before the remaining apps receive support.
Gesture navigationGesture navigation technically launched with Android 9, but for all intents and purposes, Android 10 is its debut. That’s because Google has seriously refined its gesture system and introduced a whole slew of changes to how you get around.

There are now three ways to navigate your phone.
You’ll find gestures in the same spot as before—inside the System settings—but here it has a proper name, Gesture navigation. Last year’s method, which in Android 9/Pie was called Swipe up on home button, is now named 2-button navigation. The super-old-school nav bar icons are 3-button navigation.
When you select Gesture navigation, you’ll notice the buttons are completely gone, replaced by a thin line similar to the iPhone’s home indicator. That’s where you’ll do most of your gesturing, so Google has streamlined the whole system to make things less dependent on the home button:
Go home: Swipe up from the bottom of the screen when in an app.
Switch apps: Swipe left or right on the bottom of the screen.
App Overview: Swipe up from the button of the screen and hold your finger in the center of the screen for a second.
Open app drawer: Swipe up from bottom of the screen when on home screen, or swipe up a second time when in the app switcher.
Summon Assistant: Swipe from either the right or left corner of the screen.
Because the back button is gone, you’re probably wondering how you go back one screen when using an app. It’s simple: You swipe from either side of the screen. That means swiping left from the right side of the screen or swiping right from the left side of the screen will go back a screen. You’ll see an arrow animation and feel a small vibration, and then you only need to lift your finger to go back a screen.
Android 10 notificationsIt wouldn’t be a new Android release without some tweaks to the notification system. The changes in Android 10 aren’t as dramatic as they were in Pie, but they’re still meaningful.

Notifications have received some smart changes in Android 10.
Speaking of silent notifications, you’ll also be able to track them better in Android 10. Inside the notification panel, you’ll find a new grouping for silent notifications, so you can quickly see what came through without a buzz or beep. The per-app settings have also been streamlined to make things easier to understand and control.
New sharing functionsThe share sheet has been something of a sore spot for previous Android releases, but in version 10, Google has finally done something about it. Getting to the share sheet is the same, of course—tap the share button or icon inside an app—but the feel and functionality has completely changed.
For one, it’s a whole lot faster. Where the previous menu took a second or two to load the full list of app actions and shortcuts, in Android 10 it’s practically instantaneous.
It’s much quicker to find a sharing destination, too. The old version used app and cache data to predict which app or action you might want in a lengthy, disorderly list. In Android 10, sharing is broken down into logical panes: your frequent message recipients, followed by four suggested apps based on use, and finally an alphabetical list of all possible app destinations. That makes it much quicker to track down the app you want when you aren’t texting.
Focus modeIn addition to Wind Down and app timers, Digital Wellbeing in Android 10 will also have a new feature called Focus Mode. As its name suggests, Focus Mode forces you to keep your attention on work by disabling distracting apps of your choice, like Candy Crush or Twitter. Unlike app timers, it’s an on or off thing, so you’ll need to disable Focus Mode on your own when you’re ready for a break. Thankfully, Google has made it easy with a Quick Settings shortcut that lets you flip it off with a tap.

Also new to Digital Wellbeing is the inclusion of Family Link. The parental control service was previously available via a separate app. Google is now including it in the main Android settings, so you can quickly set up an account and set limits on your kids’ activities—as well as approve any extra time requests. It never really made sense that Family Link required a separate download and app experience, so it’s nice to see it all incorporated under one umbrella now.
PrivacyOver the past several releases, Google has been working to make Android more private and transparent. Version 10 continues the effort, though many of the changes are behind the scenes. For example, apps cannot access clipboard data or device information such as IMEI and serial number without privileged permission.

Inside the Privacy tab, you’ll also find a new Permissions manager. Other than the new name, it’s exactly the same as the App permissions tab of old. Like before you’ll be able to see which apps are accessing things like the camera, contacts, and microphone. Note an important change to the Location settings, however: Instead of a toggle that merely allows or blocks access, there’s a new option—-allow only while using the app. That means an app won’t be able to access location data unless you’re explicitly using it, so you don’t have to worry about being tracked by apps running in the background .
Because most users won’t be aware of the change, Google will push out occasional alerts to let you know which apps are accessing your location. Occasionally, you’ll get a notification warning that a specific app got your location in the background because it can always access your location. To change the permission, you’ll simply need to tap the notification to get to that app’s permission settings.
WiFi password sharingThere’s always one thing your guests want before a drink or a bowl of chips: your Wi-Fi password. In Android 10, Google is making it easy to give it to them. Head over to your Wi-Fi settings, tap on the network you’re connected to, and you’ll see a new Share button. Tap it and a QR code will appear, which can be scanned by a QR reader on another phone.
Windows 10 Update Kb4559004 (Preview) Releases For Version 1909 And 1903
KB4559004 bumps the version number to 18362.997 and 18363.997 for the Windows 10 May 2029 Update and November 2023 Update respectively, and according to the company, the update fixes the Magnifier, Windows Hello face camera recognition, networking problem that may prevent wireless wide area network (WWAN) LTE modem reaching the internet.

Microsoft has announced KB4559004 in the Windows support site, and it’s referred as “July 21, 2023—KB4559004 (OS Builds 18362.997 and 18363.997) Preview.” If you’re already running the Windows 10 May 2023 Update or the November 2023 Update on your device, this update will address these problems:

If the KB4559004 update is causing issues on your device, you can always uninstall it to revert the changes.
To uninstall KB4559004 or any other quality update on Windows 10, use these steps:
Open Start.
Type the following command to view the update history and press Enter:
wmic qfe list brief /format:table
Check the Windows Update history of your device, and identify the update by its HotFixID and InstalledOn information.
Type the following command to uninstall the update from your computer and press Enter:
wusa /uninstall /kb:4559004In the command, replace “4559004” for KB number that correspond to the update that you’re trying to remove. For instance, if you’re trying to uninstall update KB4559004, then the number that you can have to use in the command is “4559004.”
Continue with the on-screen directions (if applicable).
Once you complete the steps, the recently installed update will be removed from your computer fixing any issues as a result of the release.
If your computer won’t boot after installing KB4559004, you can remove update from the Advanced startup environment using these steps.
Starting July 2023, Microsoft will resume non-security releases for Windows 10 and Windows Server version 1809 and later. Also, moving forward updates will disable the RemoteFX vGPU feature because of a security vulnerability.
As a result, after installing this update, attempting to start virtual machines that have RemoteFX vGPU enabled will fail, and messages like the following will appear:
The virtual machine cannot be started because all the RemoteFX-capable GPUs are disabled in Hyper-V Manager.
The virtual machine cannot be started because the server has insufficient GPU resources.

Five years since the release of his critically acclaimed Pulitzer-winning album DAMN., rapper and storyteller Kendrick Lamar returns with the highly anticipated Mr. Morale and the Big Steppers. The project is a stunning, intimate look at Lamar’s personal journey and confrontations with toxic masculinity, the cycle of sexual abuse, trans rights, mental health, and generational trauma. The first track, “United In Grief,” a heady and confessional banger, is the perfect lead-in to the revelations, or “truths,” Lamar works to unpack, all beginning with the rapper seeing a therapist. The fruits of his emotional labor continue in “Father Time,” with the rapper processing his wants and needs for paternal affirmation from his childhood and the resulting lessons he’s learned as a father of two: “I love my father for tellin’ me to take off the gloves / Cause everything he didn’t want was everything I was / And to my partners that figured it out without a father / I salute you, may your blessings be neutral to your toddlers.” And “We Cry Together” is not for the faint of heart, disguised as six minutes of a couple’s dispute, with an emotional performance from actress Taylour Paige, who shares her feelings on gender inequality, among other topics, in the entertainment industry and the larger surrounding world. Other standouts: “Auntie Diaries,” a provocative look into Lamar’s struggling acceptance of the trans community, and “Mother I Sober,” a profoundly introspective reflection on sexual trauma as seen through the experiences of his mother, his fiancée, abusers, and generations of the Black community.
Preacher’s Daughter, Ethel Cain
Hayden Silas Anhedönia, known by her persona and stage name Ethel Cain, grew up in Perry, Fla., in a religious household, where Christianity grabbed ahold of her life the second she stepped into it. She came out to her family at age 12, and by her 20th birthday, had come out as trans. Thus, her relationship with religion is complicated, and this debut album explores the death and tragedy of Ethel Cain, her persona in an alternative, and the darkest, timeline of her life. The project is her magnum opus following three EPs, and is what Anhedönia hopes will be the “next great American record.” The album succeeds, and is an epic that takes on Southern Baptism and saccharine American sentiments, breaking it all down into all-too-American generational trauma. One of few pop-esque records on the otherwise broody gothic album, “American Teenager” critiques the realities of the American Dream and ties in Anhedönia’s own lived experiences with Christian sensibilities: “The neighbor’s brother came home in a box / But he wanted to go, so maybe it was his fault / Another red heart taken by the American Dream.” Through Ethel, Anhedönia tackles a traumatic past of abuse, and in a Pitchfork interview, explains her negativity about the Christian religion in her music: “Everything I do through my art is a way to get my thumb on top of what’s happened to me in the past, because now I’m in control and I can’t be hurt by it again.”
Dance Fever, Florence + The Machine
Florence Welch, lead vocalist of the band Florence + The Machine, is upended by her desire to pursue motherhood and a world that’s not kind to women or mothers. In the project’s first single and track “King,” she struggles over how children could fit into her lifestyle, how she could juggle her music and kids. A staunch critic of the burdens society has placed on her kind, Florence continues her campaign against patriarchy in the satirical “Dream Girl Evil” and “Girls Against God,” which ties in her frustrations during COVID-19 lockdowns. Among other standout tracks: “The Bomb,” where we see Florence, notorious for her tendency to fall back on feelings of loneliness, and in Mitski-esque fashion, consider taking a break from her music career.
Harry’s House, Harry Styles
Six years after forming One Direction, the biggest boyband in the world, on the British talent show The X Factor, each member left in 2023 to chase a solo career. The cheeky, charismatic Harry Styles, in particular, hasn’t looked back. The megastar’s third, and latest, studio album introduces refreshing yet easily assimilable plays into the radio stratosphere. With an undying and loyal fanbase that’s followed him through his teens to his now-late-20s, the status of Harry’s House on the charts was a little iffy in the days leading up to release. But now the full force of the Briton’s domination can be felt simply by turning to any station, sure to be blasting a track off the quirky and danceable project. Standouts: the infectious and jazzy “Music for a Sushi Restaurant,” the sincere and therapeutic “Matilda,” and the wildly popular “As It Was.”

Mariana de Miguel, known as Girl Ultra, was born and raised in Mexico City, where she dropped out of film school to pursue her passion for music by playing DJ sets, eventually releasing music under her current moniker. Growing up under house and R&B, de Miguel initially incorporated these influences into her sets, realizing the Spanish scene lacked such a sound—which she quickly worked to fill. Girl Ultra’s debut EP, Boys, had a Spanish cover of R&B giant Daniel Caesar’s “Get You,” but the singer refuses to be defined or limited to genre, demonstrated by her latest EP, El Sur, a project with a luscious mix of punk, pop, and house beats. Girl Ultra is set to tour Boston on Sunday, with support from Katzù Oso.

The indie band Wet began as a trio when Kelly Zutrau, Joe Valle, and Marty Sulkow met in college through mutual friends. The three played gigs in Brooklyn before catching the attention of record label Neon Gold, which released their debut EP Wet before they switched to Columbia Records for their two studio albums, Don’t You and Still Run. Their third, and latest, project, Letter Blue, released independently via record label alternative AWAL, features some pretty high-profile collabs, such as writing and production credits from Frank Ocean’s go-to keyboardist Buddy Ross. Unsurprisingly, the English singer found his beginnings on the internet, where Instagram and YouTube became the home for his musical endeavors as well as his personal experiences as a transgender male. The budding artist released his debut EP, “Stuff from My Brain,” in 2023, a pop-punk record that delves into Adams’ mental illness, the struggles of fitting in, and criticism of media portrayal of minorities. For those who had been paying close attention to Chicago’s R&B scene, the rise of Ravyn Lenae comes as no surprise. The singer was discovered when she had her first recording session at Classick Studios in her hometown, and was quickly coaxed to join the music collective Zero Fatigue, founded by rapper Smino. Following a period of supporting Noname and SZA on tour, she worked on her debut album HYPNOS for four years before its release on May 20. The project was quickly stickered under Pitchfork’s “Best New Music” list and was granted a rare 8.5 rating. Pitchfork deemed it “a mature reintroduction, a love-stained, moody transport that flies through Lenae’s world with a featherlight cadence.”
